POSITION NAME: Senior Mining Engineer
DEPARTMENT: China Engineering
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A INDIRECT REPORTS: N/A
SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: Director –Engineering
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Collect the mine cost information from domestic operations and Peabody international operations, based on which to conduct the mine cost estimate for all projects
2.Coordinate the contractors (external consultants) to carry our project conceptual, feasibility studies, frond end engineering design etc.
3.Interact with both potential partners and existing partners to collect necessary data for project evaluation
4.Prepare weekly, monthly and annual report. Submit the relevant reports to the department concerned
5.Provide technical services and consultancy to various corporate groups such as business development, safety, maintenance, sales and marketing, purchasing and executive management
6.Collaborate with other team members to conduct mine plan studies for all projects
7.Attend related mining and technical meetings to gather information, provide information, and/or create meeting notes, action plans, and follow up communications with meeting participants
8.Implement Company SHE procedures and guarantee geo-exploration safely implemented
9.Other activities as assigned by the Director Engineering – China
Requirement
1.Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering
2.At least of 10 years professional experience in Mining
3.Basic oral communication in English
4.Production experience is preferred
5.Familiar with AutoCAD and other mining software
